The Wryters' Block

Shaping, Designing, Sculpting Words

October's Palette

I love October!

With it comes beautiful Fall when swirling leaves of red, yellow, and gold carpet the ground; gorgeous, colorful shrubbery grace landscapes. Cooler temperatures offer occasions to snuggle in sweaters and jackets. Wrapped under a warm blanket, I cuddle with a great book that I can barely put down. Just to relax with a mug of delicious hot chocolate dappled with marshmallows always bring a smile to my heart.

October. With it brings happy thoughts of local fairs – ferris wheels, rides, games, cotton candy, candy apples…

October – Halloween with scary movies, haunted houses, excited trick-or-treaters, ghost tales…

All of the above provides writers with a wealth of memories to spur on their writing.

I get so excited just thinking of Fall. In due time, other seasons and holidays will come (my birthday, too) and hopes for snow.

What do you love about October and Fall?

Dad always controlled the TV; we watched what he watched. As a result, I became fascinated with westerns and wrestling, tuned in to those shows just as avidly as he did.

Why am I blogging about my dad, you may ask? Right now Continue reading
